Congratulations PNPS Choir!

Nov 18, 2019 | choir, school events

Students in the Port Noarlunga Choir recently performed at the Southern Metropolitan Music Festival at the Hopgood Theatre. The festival perform a similar concert as the Adelaide Festival of Music with a Dance troupe and festival orchestra.

Students are given opportunities to audition for solos, hosts and choreography leaders.

Special mentions go to;
Holly, who not only performed with the choir but also was host for the concert the night before.
Lucy, who was a host for the concert!
Freya, who sang her solo for ‘When I Grow Up’ beautifully.
And to Cooper, who had us all grooving along to his solo in ‘Route 66’.

A big thank you to all the parents, caregivers and other family members who helped supervise rehearsals, performed drop off and/or pick up duties and came to watch the performance. This festival can not happen without you!

And of course a big thank you to the leadership and staff of Port Noarlunga Primary School who support myself and the festival in many different ways big or small including ironing shirts, volunteering backstage or attending the performance.

I feel very privileged to have watched this group of kids grow so much this year. I hope they feel very proud of what they have achieved. Congratulations again, and I hope that upper primary students that will be at Port Noarlunga Primary in 2020 will consider joining the choir, and for those moving onwards to high school, may music always be a part of your lives.

Kind Regards,
Miss Susie Scott 🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
