SAFM Rocks a Classroom at Porties

Jack C: I was driving in the car on the way to school when I heard Bernie and Emma G on the radio. They said, “If you want us to come to your class and teach you for a lesson, text ‘Back to School’ now!” So that’s what I did.

When I got to school, a SAFM producer called my mum’s phone, so my mum gave it to me and I answered. The producer told me what to say, so I did. I waited about a week and a half, and then Mrs Clarke got an email to say I got in!

Jack C – Part 2: On the day, Bernie and Emma G got stuck in traffic so they were a bit late. But when they got to school, everyone in the class was excited!

The first thing we did was English. We had to go to one side of the room or the other to vote for what we liked better.

Later, we got to eat nectarines and drink choc milk. After that, we got signatures from Bernie and Emma G. After everyone got something signed, we kicked the footy with Bernie until they left.

Noah: It was an awesome day hanging out with Bernie and Emma G! We got chocolate milk, a sticker, and a Croc jibbitz, as well as nectarines.

But it got even better—they were giving out signatures! People in our class were getting their hats signed, diaries signed, some even got their bags signed.

But sadly, it was only one lesson, and we never wanted it to end.

Jaxon: It was the coolest first lesson ever! We had fruit and chocolate milk. We got different prizes like stickers and Croc decorations.

On top of all that, we had a really fun English lesson with Emma G. She gave us different questions and we had to pick a side to vote. One of them was “cats or dogs?” That one was hard because I own both, but I chose cats.

The day was super fun and I hope to see Bernie and Emma G again one day. Before they left, we got signatures on our hats, bags, and drink bottles. Since Bernie is a retired footy player, we had a few more kicks with him before he left. And that was the day!

Thank you for visiting Porties, Bernie & Emma G
