Lunchtime Legends

May 27, 2024 | school info, school news, sport, student achievement, young leaders

At the end of Term 1 this year, students from the Lunchtime Leaders group decided to host a soccer tournament each Thursday lunchtime for 8 weeks for the Year 4-6 cohort.

This has been met with such excitement and anticipation and continues to be a highlight of the week for many of our students. Our Lunchtime Leaders have also organised a Soccer tournament for the Year 2/3 Cohort later this term, followed by some soccer training for the R-2s to ensure they are not missing out on all the action.

We will be looking to keep the good times rolling, as the Lunchtime Legends look to introduce a new sporting tournament to our students after the soccer season has wrapped up. We had some weird and wonderful sports put forward as suggestions that the Leaders are working through at this present time so watch this space!!

This is just one example of how our students have really strived with the opportunity to become Young Leaders and also continue to highlight the importance of Student Agency here at Porties!
