Competing against 7 other schools in our district, the Port Noarlunga Primary Girls Footy side have won the Crows Cup Carnival for the second consecutive time.

The team went undefeated on the day, Tuesday, 28 March 2023, competing at South Adelaide Football Club (Panthers) and finishing with an impressive comeback win in the Grand Final.

The girls were presented with an authentic AFLW guernsey signed by AFLW players from the AFLW Crows team. The guernsey will be displayed in the front office alongside the 2022 guernsey.

During the day, teacher and coach Mike Woolford posted on ClassDojo:

The Girls’ Footy team are playing a super brand of footy today at the Crow’s Cup. 4-0 in the wins with finals coming up. All playing with amazing determination. Go Porties!

Well played girls. Back to back Crows Cup winners. Awesome grand final, 1 point down at half time, and they stormed home to win by a goal. All played well. Thanks to the parents who helped drive and score. Go Porties!

The signed Crows guernsey was presented to Principal Marie Wright at the school assembly the next day. The girls also received a signed Crows AFLW poster and certificate of authenticity.

Thanks to our valuable parent volunteers for their support on the day.

Congratulations to our Porties Girls Footy team on a fantastic effort! Well-played and certainly deserved.
