Mia competing in Melbourne

Port Noarlunga Primary School student Mia has been selected to be part of the accelerated gold squad for Gymnastics South Australia.

Mia becomes one of only 16 students across the state who are accepted for this exclusive category, one that is said to open opportunities to the Olympics. A monumental achievement.

“This means Mia is moving along the pathway at an accelerated rate and shows a high aptitude to represent our state at the Australian Gymnastics Championship,” said Gymnastics SA, “and later contribute to the Gymnastics Australia Team Future Advanced and Junior and Senior National Squads.”

“I feel really happy and proud of my achievements so far. It is an absolute dream and something I have always wanted.”

— Mia

Mia, who is in Year 6, went on to say she was grateful for the support she receives from best friend, Ryley, and her family.

What a fantastic accomplishment and a wonderful way to start Term 2. Congratulations Mia! We wish you all the best as you continue your exciting gymnastics journey.
